A good idea.
Doubts, resolved.
What you need to know to find a lamp that fits your space.
Can we help you choose?Do I have to connect cables to the ceiling?
Not in a plugged-in version: the power comes from an electrical outlet. The lamp must be held securely, following the instructions of the model.
Can I put it on a rental floor?
It is an option to add light without connecting the lamp to the ceiling wiring. Check the fixing system and the condition of your home before installing it.
Can it be installed without drilling holes?
It depends on the lamp, the surface and the fixation needed. Just because it works with a plug does not mean it can be hung without puncturing. Check the instructions and the weight of the model.
Which plugs can I choose?
You can choose from four plug types: US, UK, AU and EU. The voltage range is 110–240 V, covering those four regions. Confirm the plug variant on the product page before you buy.
How do I know if the cord reaches the plug?
Measure the entire path from the lamp to the socket: it includes the sections of the ceiling and the wall. Compare it with the length indicated on the sheet. Also check the measurements, bulb and accessories included.
Does it include a bulb? Can the light be regulated?
It depends on the model and the variant. Check in the file if the bulb is included and if it supports regulation; not all lamps and bulbs have the same characteristics.
Where do I check for shipments and returns?
The terms and conditions depend on the order and the destination. You can check the shipping policy and the return policy before you buy.
